I’m Baaack!

Hi Everyone!!

I can’t beleive how long it has been since I have blogged! Where did the summer go, I ask you?? I am so sorry that I have not touched base all summer. It has been really, really busy, and it just got away from me! Well don’t fret, I am back, and I will be posting regularily again!

So, how are you ?? What’s going on?? I took a vaca in the north woods a couple of weeks ago and found a new quilt shop! If you go up to the WI North woods, you should check out “Around the Block Quilt Shop” in Minocqua! It is a bright shop, and nicely done. I met one of the owners, Diane and her friend Peggy. Both were so nice! They just opened in November, so are very new and growing. It reminded me of us back 5 years ago!! I have no idea how to get the pictures I took out of my phone, so pics will need to wait until tomorrow when my husband can help me figure this out!

Speaking of 5 years ago – can you believe we are 5 years old in September???? We are planning some big bash stuff to celebrate, so stay tuned to the newsletters and blog as details are revealed! We are also doing some remodeling in the shop. Nothing you can see yet, but my husband is building some new display space for us that will go where the chairs and coffee table are now. Alas, the chairs and table will have to go, but what is coming is so much more versatile! More Janome display space, more bolt space, and more display space! See, vacations are good because they let you think! We dreamed all this up when we were up in the North woods, and Dan is busy building new shelves already!

I am also preparing to go off to Orlando, FL right before Labor Day for a week to the Janome Institute. There, I will be in training and learn the brand new top of the line combo embroidery/sewing machine that will supercede the 11000 SE model! Janome is not telling us anything about this, but if you sign up to their hints website, they are sending out cryptic pictures of what is coming. See if you can figure it out! Also, if you sign up, they will unveil the new machine on Sept 3rd, right after they unveil the machine to us at the conference! I will be ready to answer questions as soon as I get back in shop on Sept. 13! Here is the website so you can sign up for the hints and online unveiling:

It is going to be a real beauty! I can’t wait to find out what this new baby can do!

In other news, remember when I told you about having my quilt designs published in Quilting Arts magazine?? Well, the first one, the table runner, will be in the Quilting Arts Holiday Gifts Issue hitting newstands in Sept.!! Here is a pic of that one, in case you don’t remember it:
